![]() July 19th marked nine months in Alaska for our family. What’s significant about this is the fact that we waited upon the Lord for nine months back in 2018 when the Lord first began to put Alaska on our hearts. We had no idea as to what it was going to look like. All we knew was that God had put a heavy burden and a love into our hearts for the Alaskan people. We have learned some very valuable lessons as to what it truly means to wait upon the Lord. Waiting on the Lord doesn’t mean to just sit around and wait passively for something to happen; but it does mean that we do our due diligence to make our calling and election sure. We are actively out reaching the lost. My family and I have put soul winning as one of our top priorities. The church that we Pastor is a missionary church that focuses on equipping the saints for the work of the ministry. That work is soul winning. Every Christian is a missionary and every non-Christian is a mission field. God has not given us an impossible task. We can do anything God commands us to do - Acts 1:8. Christians are suppose to bear fruit - John 15:16. The fruit of a Christian is not love, joy, peace (these are the fruit of the Spirit). The fruit of a Christian is other Christians. If we could see the extreme importance of soul winning, we would make any sacrifice & suffer any inconvenience to keep others out of hell. If a Christian could spend just 5 minutes in hell, what a difference it would make - Luke 16:27-28. Now salvation isn’t just a ticket to get out of hell but an opportunity and privilege to live in harmony with the Lord Jesus Christ in the here and now. We are going to enter into eternity just the way we choose to be now. Our job is to persuade men to come into full obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ. Early Christians were soul winners. They were to In Jerusalem preaching the gospel to every creature in their generation. Even persecution did not keep them from their task for they taught daily in every house (Acts 5:42) and went everywhere preaching the word (Acts 8:1-4). The Christians of the first century took the great commission seriously. They understood what the Lord can’t when He said go. Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15). They did go, and so must we. We are helping build His church and the gates of hell will not prevail. We are truly honored as a family to be living out what Holy Bible teaches. Ministry in Alaska has been costly for us in many ways, but we continue to press towards the higher calling that is in Christ Jesus. Each day we are seeking new opportunities to serve and to be a witness. We are thankful for our son that was born here in Alaska. Baby Benjamin will be four months on 29th of this month. Looks like we have an Alaskan on our hands now. We are continuing to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, and we are truly looking forward to what the Lord has planned for the upcoming season. We know that we are in His perfect will. Our mission is to continue to seek and help save that which is lost. We are living by His faithfulness and generous saints such as yourself. If you would like to partner with us it would be greatly appreciated. May the Lamb that was slain receive the reward of His suffering!
