This week we will look at the things which make a man of God. We will look at Samuel and how he anointed David king of Israel at a young age. This happened many years before it came to pass.
A man after God's own heart is: 1. careful of the things of God 2. inwardly holy. 3. hopeful, fathful, comfortable and confident in his relationship with God. 4. humble 5. not domineering, rather merciful, respectful, and observant. Notes: S.S. 2:15; Mk. 7; Lk. 12:32; Ps.23; 131 This is the introduction of a new series, The Making of a Man After God's Own Heart.
A man of God is born from great pain and necessity and usually springs from great societal darkness. We will be coming from Samuel and Psalms to look into the life of David, the shepherd king. This week we looked at the birth of Samuel as well as an overview of his life. The audio runs a little longer than usual. I encourage you to listen. A young man stumbled into the study (as I was sitting in the park) we had a good conversation about this important subject. May God bless you! "Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help." -Psalm 146:3 Notes: I Sm. 1:5-11; 3:3;12-15; 8:5-8: 13; 15; 16:1 4/2/2019 0 Comments Crown of RejoicingThis week we looked at the crown of rejoicing. This is the crown of rejoicing. Notes: Ps. 119:111, 162; 68:3; 69:32;32:11; 33:21; 40:16; 51:8; Zc. 9:9 Is. 12; Ph. 4 |
