Too often we make spiritual superheroes out of others hoping they might save us. We look at those that are anointed in prayer as though that is a gift, when the truth is they sacrificed to gain that anointing. They waited in prayer, they labored purifying their hearts. All of these things are things God expects of you as well Christian!
The people of Israel lamented over the loss of Jacob apparently considering this to be prayer. They never heard an answer from God, yet they stepped out anyway, apparently, answering their own prayers. How often do we do likewise? God's answer is very seldom the same as ours, still He wants to reward us. Wait for the answer.

God goes to extreme measures to show us the extremity of our sin. The wages of sin IS death, How long will you play around with it in your personal life? How long will you suffer it in the lives of others around you? Is there any warning too strong to keep them and others from hell?

Just because the was is easy does not mean it's God. Micah thought all was well, only to be robbed, Jonah found a ship going to Tarshish only to be thrown overboard and we can go on and on...
A hireling preacher will never tell you these things, but a real man of God will show you by example.
